Fault_reporting_procedure

Although it may be obvious, again it is in your own interests to look after the vehicles. Problems, which are not reported, may cause problems to others in situations when it may be difficult to get help. Also, vehicles in garages are of no use to anybody.

Fault before journey starts
  • Report the fault in the Log Book and immediately contact the Students’ Union Reception (01483 689223 9am-5pm), who will advise you whether it is safe to use the Vehicle or not. If the Union Reception is closed, phone the Lex Vehicle Technical support and advise (0844 824 8866​). Where using the allocated vehicle is not safe, and where possible, an alternative Union Vehicle will be allocated to you. 
  • Please also note the fault on your trip log, and the 'Fault Report' document in the vehicle's document wallet

Fault during journey/trip 
Please report any problems on your trip log, and on the 'Fault Report' document in the vehicle's document wallet. Where it is a minor fault, ensure that you tell the Union Reception on your return. Where it is a more serious fault, or you are unsure, follow the procedure as for Breakdown procedure.​
