Hello! My name is Charlotte Webb and I'm a second year Theatre and Performance student. I'm a member of Musical Theatre Society and their social secretary for this year. I was a course rep last year and it gave me a great deal of insight into how many democratic processes there are within the university. This made me want to work closely with students and staff to ensure these are upheld to the highest standard and that everyone has the opportunity to participate in the decisions that will undoubtedly affect their future.
My focus for the year will be to empower students by providing them with necessary information about upcoming elections, votes and protests so that they can take control over not just their uni experience, but life as a whole.
I'm really looking forward to working with the other zones in order to benefit as many students as possible.
Student life is expensive and the university should do more to help keep costs as low as possible so that students from all financial backgrounds can have a university education.
The Union should provide means for students to campaign for issues which matter to them and facilitate peaceful protests
Every student matters and should be listened to
