When was the last time you stopped and thought about how you're taking care of your mental health?
A staggering 92% of students have experienced symptoms of mental distress during their studies at university according to a recent survey conducted by the National Union of Students. Out of those students, 26% have not told a single person how they are feeling, and another 13% have had suicidal thoughts.
Everyone has mental health, but not everyone is aware just how important it is to maintain a healthy mind. Even the simple things like keeping active and having a well-balanced diet can have a bearing upon how you cope with certain situations, and even a little bit of effective time management can help alleviate some of the stresses that come with those fast approaching coursework deadlines.
It's important for you to keep a check on your mental health throughout your time at university and to keep an eye out for your mates too.
