 Schools and Education Volunteering

Code Club LeaderRaspberry Pi FoundationMultiple Locations

Code Club is a national network of free, volunteer led, after school computer coding clubs for 9-11 year olds. We teach kids how to be digital makers using a curriculum that include projects for Scratch, HTML, CSS and Python.

Code Clubs run weekly, after school, during term time and last 1 hour.

We currently have 20 local Primary Schools who are looking for volunteers to run Code Club at their school. We offer great training, support and content for the sessions, and there will always be a teacher in the room to support you while the club is running

Code Club is part of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, which works to put the power of digital making into the hands of people all over the world.

We ask that all our volunteers commit to a minimum of 12 x 1 hour sessions, usually split over two half terms.

Volunteer Reading HelperKings CollegeGuildford

Kings College are looking for students to read twice a week with Years 7, 8 and potentially  Year 9 students. This would be for 20-30 minutes, ideally from 1.40-2.00. Which specific day is down to the availability of volunteers, but ideally we would hope that volunteers could commit to at least a half term slot (6-7 weeks).

This would be really transformative for our students and would be very personally rewarding for a volunteer.

Please note that this role requires a DBS check, the costs of which will be covered for you.
