
The Students' Union Annual Members' Meeting voted to hold a referendum on whether or not the University of Surrey Students' Union should continue to affiliate to the National Union of Students. Referenda are held in accordance with the Union's election rules. The Returning Officer for the referendum will be Mr Jim Dickinson, Chief Executive of UEA Students' Union. Questions regarding the referendum should be emailed to katherine.phillips@surrey.ac.uk

'Should the University of Surrey Students' Union continue to affiliate with the National Union of Students?'

Referendum Results
On Friday 12th July at 19:00 voting closed with the highest (and closest) ever turnout for a referendum on the NUS at Surrey. The turnout was 1659
Yes: 1049 (63.2%)
No: 610 (36.8%)
We remain affiliated to the NUS.
