This is the most recent area that EARS has become involved in. We have several projects planned for this year, which are detailed below. If there's something you would like to do that we haven't thought of yet feel free to get in contact or get on our Facebook Page
and start talking about it.
High Altitude BallooningThe high altitude balloon project was a huge success at the end of the 13/14 academic year. Our balloon (see photo, right) successfully flew up to 28km and returned safely under its parachute. Continuation of this project will be popular and looks to involve schools to widen the reach of EARS.

Model rocketry, including remote sensing/micro flight computers
Model rocketry is an area that hasn't been explored yet. Whether this is possible to do on site or if we'll have to go somewhere else to do this, if enough people are interested we'll do our best to make it happen. This also leads to the development of micro flight computers and remote sensing to add an electronics and radio aspect to the fun.
Tillingbourne Ground Station
This is one of the oldest projects at EARS, it is a challenging project but is very close to being functional. There are a lot of aspects still to do like installing antennas for other bands and working on our software suite to support ours and other people's projects. More information on this, as always, is on the Wiki
