United Anti-Capitalists (SUAC) is a self-organising and united group of students, workers, unemployed people from all ages and walks of life. What unites us is our understanding that the capitalist system is failing humanity and the environment and there is a pressing need to develop alternative ways of organising society. Capitalism is an economic and socio-political system in which the means of production are privately owned and are used not to meet the needs of the people but to ensure endless profits for the owners. The logic of profits for the sake of profits results in worldwide exploitation of workers and the environment. Whilst the ruling class (i.e. the owners) amass astronomical amounts of wealth and power, the 99% have to face poverty, exploitation, alienation, oppression, the threat of war and fascism. By joining SUAC you would be part of a collective of people who are fighting for a better future by advocating for a system which would put the needs of the people before profit and that addresses the deep-rooted problems of our present day society.
We are an open-minded group which encourages free and democratic debate and action. Within SUAC we reject all forms of hierarchical organization and dogmatic approaches. Members are free to have
individual political affiliations and promote their own organizations within the society as long as we act together in our campaigns. SUAC, through its members has links with a wide variety of political groups such as the Socialist Party, Peace Party, Trade Unions, Anarchist Federation, Socialist Workers Party, Norm UK, Surrey Cannabis Club, Communist Party of Great Britain, Marxist Student Federation, Green Party and others.
