Most of our events will be advertised on facebook, however the calender will be kept updated throughout the year. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to get reminded for any events coming up if you don't use facebook!
Now many people like to claim that gaming can improve one's hand-eye coordination, we test this theory with some bowling.
We generally hold this event at Spectrum in town where we head down as a group either in a minibus or by walking (Isn't far from campus)
Also there is a food-stop at the burger place next to bowling; eats will occur before we publicly humiliate ourselves by throwing balls around.
PS: We recommend you level up and put points into dexterity before attempting this event
Raising Money for Charity
You'd be surprised how well video games can raise money. we usually have two events for raising money.
First is donating the money we got from people entering tournaments such as what we do every year with our FIFA tournaments.
Pub Socials and Drinking Game Nights
How can we combine drinking and gaming ladies and gentlemen? That's right drinking games. Died in Halo? Have a shot. Fall off rainbow road? Have a shot. Died in Dark Souls? Take a drink. You get the picture.
This is something we haven't as a society done yet but what we would like to do sometime this year. We also like to continue doing pub crawls, we usually start on campus and head towards town.
You don't have to drink at these events, many don't so don't think you can't come join in on the fun.
We also hold society dinners once a semester, usually towards the end; our winter dinner is held in the last weeks of december, while our Spring dinner is held after our AGM, to congratulate the new committee. Anyone is free to come, even if they don't usually hang out at our Thursday sessions, it's entirely free (aside from your meal of course).
We try to accomodate for dietary restrictions, but we hope you understand that this is not always possible.
