Water Polo President
Marwan Tamer El Shaer
Marwan oversees the Water Polo side of the club. With help from the Mens Captain and Womens Captain he organises all games and training throughout the year. As well as this he helps manage and run the Womens team. Marwan is also the universities Water Polo Officer for BUCS.
Marwan is in his 3rd and final year as part of the club, graduating this year.
Andy oversees the Swimming side of the club. He is responsible for organising all the BUCS events and helping choose the squad for BUCS Team Champs. Has a close relationship with our coaches to insure everybody gets the best out of training, whether a social or competitive swimmer.
Andy is in his 4th and final year as part of the club, having previously held position as the Club Treasurer. Andy will be graduating from University this year.
Matt is responsible for all the club finances. He makes sure the club can always pay for things like BUCS entries hotels and any transport the club needs. He also ensures everybody has paid for trips and competitions on time. As the third signatory in the club he also helps out other committee members where necessary.
Matt is in his 3rd year at the club with a further 2 years left at the University.
Kate is in charge of everything to do with Training Camp, from booking the hotel, flights and pool time, to ensuring everybody survives whilst were there. It's a massive job without which training camp would not be possible! For more information see the Training Camp page or drop Kate an email.
Kate is in her 3rd year as part of the club and her 2nd as Camp Secretary after founding the position last year.
|Club Development Officer|
Joey has the role of developing the club internally and externally. He is in charge of organising friendly galas and building a relationship with other Universities. He works closely with the signatories and the social sec to organise any charity events and social activities that take place.
Joey is in his 2nd year at the club with a further 2 years left at University.
Katie manages everything social. She organises any social events the club takes part in, working closely with the club development officer to ensure everybody has a great time! She is also in charge of organising the big events throughout the year, such as Christmas Dinner and Colours Ball.
