USSAC regulary uses a number of dive sits around the UK for training and pleasure dives, below are some of our more frequently used sites.
We mostly use inland sites for training for anything from your first real dive up to rescue training and advanced skills workshops.
Wraysbury Dive Centre
Wraysbury is probably our most commonly used dive centre and is only a 45minute drive from Guildford. A typical trip to Wraysbury costs £16 including site entrance and transport.
Vobster is a bit further away than Wraysbury but is deeper and has more attractions. Typically used after a trip to Wraysbury or for more advanced training. A typical trip to Vobster costs £30 including site entrance and transport.
Stoney Cove is one of the most famous inland sites in the UK. We often go for the weekend and stay over in a local scout hut. A good trip for training and the social experience! Prices vary for a weekend trip, but it's usually around £75 including site entry, transport and accomodation.
Guildenburgh is one of the less used sites but offers some good facilities for training and is only a 2 hour drive from Guildford. There is onsite accomodation if we decide to do a whole weekend. A typical trip to Gildy is about £30 including site entrance and transport.
A very new dive site just opened 45 minutes away which we have yet to try out but will go for a try shortly and maybe you will come on a training trip there soon!
There are a number of our regular haunts off the coast of England. We either charter a boat from a reputable dive operation locally or dive off our own RIB; Garfield.
