USSAC Easter Trip
Every Easter the new intake training culminates in a week long trip to a special destination over the University's Easter Vacation.
Typically the trip costs around £500 for the week's diving and is announced in early November. Watch the mailing list and facebook group for more information!
This year, USSAC will be heading off to Lanzarote
2014 Trip to Marsa Alam
The 2014 trip took 17 members to the warm and pristine waters of Marsa Alam in Egypt with Emperor Divers where we spent the week between the spacious day boats, shore diving with turtles and expeditions to a deserted beaches to explore the wreck of the Hamada.
Over the week we saw turtles, dolphins, sharks, morays, lionfish, more turtles and even the illusive dugong!

2013 Trip to Bulgaria
The 2013 trip saw us jet off to Bulgaria and the Black Sea. With a few open water lessons to finish off in the sheltered marina, we were soon diving in the open sea off the two RIBs owned by Black Sea Scuba. The visibility was pretty good, making the first dive a good one - a sunken passenger jet, open enough to be able to swim through the port-side engine and to get up to the cockpit.
Another dive took us to a couple of World War II German Schnellboot - lightweight boats designed to strike and escape quickly. The wrecks were in good condition, complete with unexploded torpedoes.
The most impressive dive was that on a steam cargo ship - the wreck was fairly damage, likely sunk by torpedo, meaning it was very easy to swim through and see the boiler and engine.
The week was a great opportunity for everyone to have a good week's diving with new and old members enjoying a drink at the end of the day.
