Every 6 years the University undergoes the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education’s Institutional Audit and this year its Surrey’s turn. The QAA will be ensuring that the University is of a high enough standard and that it is awarding degrees of an appropriate standard, and basically checking if the University of Surrey makes the grade.
The Students’ Union is asked to compile a report (called the Student Written Submission) saying how you, the students, really feel about the student academic experience, how accurate you feel university publicity is, and how good you feel the university is at listening to you. This is our opportunity as a whole student body to say to an independent body how we really feel about the University and the experience that it offers.
The report is now complete and will be available for you all to read very soon. We'd like to thank all of those who took part in the focus groups, you were amazingly helpful!
If you have any questions about the QAA please email the VP Education ussu.education@surrey.ac.uk
