For many students this is the first time they are managing their own accounts and expenditure – which scary for most. There are different bills to pay, rent, mobile phones, to name but a few, along with the added pressure of going out with friends and socialising. There is also the additional cost such as course materials and books, stationary, sports equipment and clothes.

Because of these is it vital that every student knows where to go for advice on managing money and getting financial support. Student Advice and Information Service is based in Flats 1-2, Wey House, Surrey Court and they offer;
-          General Advice on a vast range of issues including health, employment, tax, council tax and part-time employment.
-          Financial advice, from answering quires to helping students to apply for hardship funds.
