Surrey Taekwondo provides students with mental and physical exercises. This sport isn't like any other sport out there, it brings together people from all ages and sexes to train together as one.
We train two/three times a week with the great Master Bae, a 6th Dan master from Korea!  We provide students with the ability to compete at high levels, and give to opportunity to individuals to go to Korea, to train with some of the best out there!  We also have often "special training" sessions with recognised individuals, such as Master Moon Dae-Sung, 2004 Olympic Gold medallist!

Taekwondo is a martial art originating in Korea. An amalgamation of Chinese, Japanese, and traditional Korean fighting styles, it has become the world’s most commonly practiced martial art. As with many other martial arts, taekwondo is a combination of combat technique, self-defence, sport, exercise, entertainment, and philosophy.

There are two forms of Taekwondo practised.

  • WTF (WorldTaekwondo Federation)
  • ITF (International Taekwondo Federation)

The difference between ITF and WTF:

ITF is the more traditioinal style whereas WTF emphasis more on sparring, and is the type of Taekwondo appearing in the Olympics.
