BUSA

This year we have two mens’ teams and a ladies team entered in the British Universities sports association (BUSA).

The Men’s 1^st are entered in league 2a of the South Eastern ConferenceThe Men’s 2^nd are entered in league 3a of the South Eastern ConferenceThe Ladies 1^st are entered in league the South Eastern Conference (Only one league)

Matches take place at 2pm either home at the varsity centre or away, see below link for team schedules.

Guildford Business League

The Guildford Business league, organised and run by Hart Brown Solicitor’s attracts local businesses from all sectors and industries. The University team was proud to come second last year with an epic final match deciding the result!

Run monthly and with 3 players (normally 2 men one women) per team it is a very social affair with a free buffet lunch after matches. This provides a perfect opportunity for discussing careers advice and possibly making placement contacts with industry professionals.

We want to see as many people as possible participate this year, regardless of if you are team standard. So, if you’re interested, contact Ollie the Club president.

Team will be selected on rotational basis.

Squash Tour and squash Tournaments

Historically, the club attends…

The Inter – University Squash Tournament at Warwick University

A great weekend of fun (and drinking), squash (and drinking), Mini-buses (all drinking apart from the driver and Kirstie!) and of course fancy dress! BTW did we mention drinking???

The reading sports festival.

A chance to play in a tournament as a team. It’s massive…loads of sports represented

If there is enough interest, we’ll be reviving the squash Tour and possibly collaborating with Portsmouth University Squash club… so let us know if your interested in having the best and most hardcore week of your life!

Varsity Squash Leagues

As a gold card holder, you are eligible to enter the varsity squash leagues. These are independent from the Student club and run on monthly cycles. They give players a chance to improve rapidly by exposing themselves to a variety of skill levels and game styles.

If there is sufficient interest…the student club will start up it’s own leagues, again, speak to the committee if your interested
