The French Contingent (Fragile and Baby Frag)

The Surrey University Team also has a closely knit relationship with two other clubs:
Esher RFC
Stoke Park Bisons

Both of these clubs have players from our uni playing for them, so players who fancy a bit of extra rugby from their week are able to link to these clubs, both offering a variation of skill level and qualities.

Esher, a side currently at the top of National 2, are only 20 mins up the A3 from Guildford. This club offers a chance for the players of a high level to be coached at a national standard by international coaches.

Stoke park, a side made up from many old boys has a great social atmosphere, incredibly sirrhosis inducing tours and an attitude to the game that really benefits old school props, but enables young, fitter players who like to get around the park to get plenty of ball in hand. Their home games are played on the same pitch at the Uni home games.

Esher RFC – the Club to be a part of

A NOTE FROM NIGEL SCOTT OF ESHER RFC:

Esher RFC has been delighted to welcome players from your University teams to its successful senior teams. For 2007/8 we expect our 1^st XV to be playing in National 1 of the RFU League structure and offering semi-professional rugby at a high level. Our 2^nd and 3^rd XVs play in the Canterbury Leagues and offer competitive, successful rugby at all levels.

With a high quality coaching staff led by Director of Rugby Mike Schmid (previously with Earth Titans and Canada), we can offer you exceptional training on a regular basis as individuals. We are also able to offer team sessions for your University XVs, either at your grounds or at Esher.
