Help make your course the best it can be
 

Every year students from every course and programme put themselves forward to represent the views of all students to their department.

This is an excellent opportunity to expand your horizons beyond your course and gain some valuable experience in representing your colleagues at a departmental level.

To become an academic representative, first you will have to convince the rest of your course that you are up to the job when you stand for election. Once you have been elected as an Academic Rep, you will be fully trained as to how to carry out your role. There are of course some expectations of you; you will have to attend the meetings required of course reps and actively canvass the views of the rest of your course as well as reporting back to the Union.
