Your gender identity is natural and not a disorder, no matter what ignorant people- including some care providers- may tell you. You have the right to a body that works for you, whether that means getting hormones and surgeries, or refusing unwanted surgeries.
Having a gender identity that differs from the one you were assigned is ‘normal’, even though it isn’t ‘the norm’. Having a body that differs from what people consider ‘male’ or ‘female’ is ‘normal’, even though it isn’t the norm. Having a unique gender identity, having more than one gender identity, or not having any gender identity is ‘normal’, even though it’s not the norm.
There is nothing wrong with being YOU!
Whatever your experience or situation, your Trans Representative Officer Gavi is here for you. While his official position title doesn’t include intersex or non-binary genders, your Rep is knowledgeable about both topics, and would love to hear from you.
