As a member of UniSglide you will have access to Lashams fleet of 20 gliders.
9 of the 12 are K-13 basic trainers. These gliders have been the main training glider in the UK since the 70s. They are excellent for getting to grips with the basic controls of a glider. They are also very strong and can withstand the many knocks and bumps they sustain. You will usually perform the majority of your training in these excellent gliders.
Lasham also owns two K-21s (778 and 431). These are usually used for aerobatics training and glass fibre conversions.
776 and 45 are DG1000 gliders. These gliders can be configured for aerobatics,or cross country flying. 45 has a retractable engine which is useful for if the lift stops while a long way from home. You will not usually fly them until you are a long way through your training (they cost over £70,000 each so we don't want to break them).
Lasham also owns a Duo Discus. This is a very high performance cross country glider. During the winter months it is kept in Spain where members can fly it for the same rate as in the UK.
A Falke motor glider is also available for field landing practice, navigation exercises, and 10hr NPPL conversions.
The single seater fleet is one of the best in the country. It consists of 3 Discus gliders and 2 Grob 102s.
Lasham also own several tug planes, and 2 winches:
The most fun addition to the fleet are the Mules and the Gator - these are small buggies used for towing gliders around the airfield. The best thing is you can be solo on these after 5 mins!
