Welcome to the Univrsity of Surrey Fencing mini site!

Fencing is a western martial art and is often described as a fast game of chess as it requires you to out think your opponant as well as out manouvering them.

At the club we fence all 3 swords, the Foil, Epee and Sabre. Each has its own distinct style and rules. We cater for all levels of experiance, from complete novice to those who compete on national teams. It is very easy to pick up and soon you will developing your own unique style and challenging (and beating! ) regular club members! All you need to take part is a pair of trainers, light trousers and an eagerness to learn a new sport!

Coaching is provided once a week and he used to coach the army for fencing.
