Training continues on a Sunday evening between 17:30 – 19:30, playing equipment can be borrowed however, you are required to provide your own ‘box’ if you wish to bat. It is great seeing so many numbers on a Sunday evening especially considering we are putting out a 2nd team in BUSA this season for the first time in the club’s history captained by our chairman Jonathan Ferdenzi. However, we will be chasing up people to pay their membership and please stop coming to training if you have no aspirations to improve and play for the University sides. I would moreover like to remind everyone that to play competitive cricket for the University you are required to be a paid and signed up member.

Currently the six-a-side team are preparing for the South Region round of the BUSA six-a-side competition to be held at Sophia Garden’s in late Feb. Getting this far already puts the team in the last sixteen in Britain and one round away from participating in the Final’s at Lords! The six-a-side team moreover, performed superbly in their debut season in the local Guildford league competition finishing in 2nd place of the top league!

Your committee continues to strive to improve your club for you in anyway possible and is in the process of placing cricket equipment order’s for example, new cricket balls which are obviously much needed! We are moreover in the process of compiling friendly fixtures to coincide with BUSA fixtures to ensure both sides have at least two fixtures every week during the period after Easter up until the end of term. Furthermore, we are in the process of organising our annual summer tour this year to Newquay! Competition for places will be fierce but more information will be released at a later date when details are confirmed.

Please continue to monitor the club website and facebook group for updates and please feel free to post any ideas you have on how you feel the club could be improved in any way, shape or form or if it’s easier E-mail the committee directly. Barny our webmaster has created a buy and sell page on the website. The purpose of this page is for more experienced player’s to be able to sell no longer required or wanted kit or equipment at a reasonable price and for less experienced player’s to have the opportunity to purchase decent 2nd hand kit or equipment for a reasonable price from a source they know.

Finally, a date for your diary will be the club’s AGM held in May. This will be an opportunity for members that will be in Guildford next year to put themselves forward for positions on the committee for the following year ranging from Chairman – Treasurer.
